Lyncee Transmission series is an optical instrument designed for real-time quantitative imaging and rapid measurement of transparent and semi-transparent samples, based on digital holographic microscopy (DHM) technology. It is particularly ideal for applications in materials science and life science.
Lyncee Transmission captures both intensity and phase information in a single acquisition without mechanical scanning. This enables 3D imaging,
4D tracking, thickness measurement, refractive index–based characterization, and precise localization of fine structures without complex sample preparation or labeling.
A wide range of hardware options is available, including transmission head modules, objective lens sets, motorized stages, a fluorescence module, an environmental chamber, and additional accessories to meet diverse sample handling and application requirements.
Lyncee Transmission software, Koala, enables easy-to-use control of the microscope system and has optional preset suites for faster workflow.
Lyncee Transmission series is a non-destructive 3D and 4D topography technique. It records holograms using a digital camera and computationally reconstructs both the intensity image and the surface topography. DHM enables real-time, high-resolution, quantitative measurement of surface topography with fast digital focalization and no need for fine mechanical adjustments.
Objective Lens Sets
Objective turret supports up to six objectives from 1.25 × to 100 ×
magnification, which allows easy switching between wide-field overview and
high-magnification inspection.
Transmission DHM Head Models
Lyncee Transmission series (Lyncee T1, T2) offers single- and dual-laser source configurations optimized for precise optical topography. Each model is an ideal tool for its application: Lyncee T1 for most applications, and Lyncee T2 for large
step height samples.
Motorized Sample Stage
Motorized sample stages enable focalization of the sample
by adjusting its vertical (Z) position and allow easy movement of samples along the X and Y directions. They can be controlled either through a dedicated window of Koala acquisition and analysis software or by using a
joystick improving ease of use.
Fluorescence Module
When combined with Lyncee Transmission series, the optional fluorescence module enables simultaneous quantitative phase imaging and epifluorescence observation through the same objective lens. This allows direct correlation between label-free DHM measurements and fluorescence reference assays for applications such as high-content screening and single-cell analysis. The plug-and-play module supports multiple light sources and cameras, with dedicated filters ensuring crosstalk-free operation and optional density filters to minimize phototoxicity.
Environmental Chamber
The perfect addition for non-perturbing multi-day time-lapse experiments. It
allows full control of temperature, CO₂ and humidity with the same precision
as a full incubator. O₂ control (for hypoxia and hyperoxia experiments) can be
added with an optional gas mixer.
Principle of Digital Holographic Microscopy
DHM Technology
DHM is a patented technology that records holograms with a camera through
interference between an object beam fro the sample and a reference beam.
